Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2021
Goal #1 To increase the number of diverse candidates in the BPS Teaching Fellowship, we will align our ACTT (Accelerated Community to Teacher) program to replace our pre-practicum. After a full year in the ACTT program, selected candidates will join the BPS Teaching Fellowship. As a result of this adjustment, we project that 85 % of our teacher candidates will be educators of color.
Goal #2 We will increase our MTEL support by providing greater access to courses. We will increase the number of courses, interventions, and financial support (MTEL vouchers) to candidates so that 100% of the pre-practicum candidates will clear their provisional licenses by passing their necessary MTELS
Goal #3 We will add a BPS Teaching Fellowship specialist position to our program. Along with coaching and mentoring the candidates, the BPS TF specialist will also focus on growing and improving the BPS Teaching Fellowship.
