Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Educator preparation program improvement goals for the upcoming program year |
| Goal #1 |
Update course requirements to meet new SMK Guidelines released by DESE in August 2018. The initial focus will be on connecting the developing pedagogical skills of our candidates to the content their students must learn. We are also considering changes to our course sequence to ensure candidates receive content in an order that scaffolds understanding and skill development. |
| Goal #2 |
Provide training for all licensure instructors in social justice and equity with the goal of embedding the principles in coursework in order to better prepare candidates to have the skills and cultural awareness to work with all students. |
| Goal #3 |
Transition our Introduction to Educational Technology course to integrate content from ISTE in order to make candidates eligible for the ISTE Certification for Educators designation. Provide corresponding training for instructors in technology integration in alignment with ISTE standards. |

Work with our internal research and evaluation group to develop a logic model and strategic plan for our Licensure Program. |

Evaluate existing pre-practicum experiences within the individual courses in our program and develop an action plan for developing new pre-practicum field experiences to align with anticipated guidelines from DESE |

Update our existing process to assess candidates's disposition for teaching to align with CAP. |
